Biography

Confused about the name....well so am I. I'm an artist/musician and use John Stewart for my art and J. Norman Stewart for my music. I have seven self published cd's: Peruvian Suite, Songs for Valerie, Piano Abstract, Quiet Elegance, Reflections-Classical Improv, and Grand Canyon Suite. Number seven is "The Oak River Piano CD" which is only available directly from me, through www.jstewart.com. I am big on improvisation. If there is more than one instrument in a song, I will start with one improvised track (usually piano, guitar or bass) and then add improvised tracks (instruments) until I get what pleases me. There are jazz, pop and classical influences in my work. If you Google "J. Norman Stewart" you will come up with lots of sources for my music and samples to listen to.
